What is it?
You can now see a projected citation lift estimate alongside each AEO recommendation in HubSpot, giving you a concrete signal of how much each recommendation could improve your AI citation rate before you act on it.
Why does it matter?
AEO recommendations tell you what to change, but not how much it matters. Without a sense of expected impact, it's hard to know where to start.
Estimated Citation Lift addresses this directly:
- - Prioritization clarity: You can rank recommendations by projected citation impact and focus effort where it's likely to move the needle most.
- - Justification for action: Teams working across content, SEO, and marketing can point to a concrete projected outcome when deciding which recommendations to tackle first.
- - Closer connection between work and results: The lift estimate ties your content decisions back to AI visibility, making the value of AEO recommendations easier to see and communicate.
-
How does it work?
- Navigate to Marketing > AEO > Recommendations.
- Open any active recommendation.
- Review the Estimated Citation Lift value displayed on the recommendation card. This figure reflects the projected increase in citation rate if the recommendation is fully actioned.
- Use the lift value to compare recommendations and sequence your work accordingly.
Lift estimates are calculated based on your current citation performance, the type of recommendation, and historical citation data.
