Caller ID for HubSpot Numbers (U.S.)

Written by Catalin Vlad | May 12, 2026 10:32:59 AM

What is it?

You can now register Caller ID on your HubSpot phone numbers to improve answer rates and phone number trust.

Why does it matter?

When you call prospects or customers, displaying your business name instead of just a number helps recipients recognize your calls and increases the likelihood they'll answer. Without Caller ID registration, your calls may appear as unknown numbers, leading to lower answer rates and missed conversations.

How does it work?

Create a business profile

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Calling > Number Verification.
  3. Under the Business Profile tab, click Create a profile.
  4. Select the checkbox acknowledging you understand a business profile represents your company identity and is necessary to enable functionality like Caller ID.
  5. Fill out your company info, business registration, and point of contact.
  6. Click Submit.

Business profile approval can take 2-3 business days. After your business profile is approved, Caller ID approval can take an additional 2-3 business days, with another 2-3 business days for the approved name to update on call carriers.

Note: Caller ID is displayed only if the recipient has enabled the CNAM feature on their phone through their carrier.

  • For landlines, CNAM is enabled by default.
  • For mobile phones, most US carriers offer CNAM as an opt-in feature. If the recipient doesn't enable CNAM for their mobile phone, CNAM won't be displayed even if CNAM is properly set for the number.
  • CNAM currently only works on US phone numbers.

Who gets it?

This feature is available for Sales Hub Starter, Sales Hub Professional, Sales Hub Enterprise, Service Hub Starter, Service Hub Professional, and Service Hub Enterprise.
