What’s changed?
As part of this launch, we’re also beginning to phase out the “Prompt Bar” display option. Existing chatflows using it will continue to work, but it will no longer be available for new chatflows. We also recently added a glow effect to make the chat widget more noticeable and enticing to site visitors.

What is it?

Center stage is a new display option for the chat widget. Instead of appearing in the bottom corner, the widget sits front and center along the bottom of the page and expands into a full chat panel when a visitor engages with it.

As part of this launch, we’re also beginning to phase out the “Prompt Bar” display option. Existing chatflows using it will continue to work, but it will no longer be available for new chatflows. That means the only options will be "Icon" and "Center stage".

Why does it matter?

The traditional corner widget can be easy to miss. With center stage, the widget gets a more prominent position so more visitors notice it and start conversations.

You can also choose which display option appears on specific pages or for particular audience segments — for example, using center stage on high-intent pages to drive sales conversations while keeping the corner widget on support pages.

How does it work?

Set up is fast and easy. When editing a chatflow, navigate to Display. Under Chat Display Behavior, select "Spotlight" as the launcher type.
