What is it?
Connected Apps now includes two updates for admins: a redesigned settings page for each app, and a new app owner management feature that lets you assign and track responsibility for connected apps.
Why does it matter?
As an admin, you need visibility into your app ecosystem as it grows — both into what each app does and who's responsible for it. These two updates make it easier to find what you need in each app's settings page, and to know who on your team owns each integration.
The redesigned app page organizes information into focused tabs, so the details you're looking for are where you'd expect them. App owner management gives every connected app a designated owner whose name is attached to the integration and whose changes are tracked over time.
How does it work?
Redesigned App Page
Each app's page is now organized into three tabs:
- - Overview tab: A snapshot of what the app offers and how to get the most out of it.
- - For apps with feature cards configured, this tab surfaces a "Get the most out of [App]" view with actionable feature cards, each with a description and direct CTA.
- - For apps without feature cards, this tab shows the app's marketplace listing and setup guide.
- - Insights tab: A dedicated tab for integration-level data, covering:
- - Activities: app log showing installs, uninstalls, reinstalls, settings changes, permission events, and owner changes
- - Record Insights: record-level activity driven by the integration
- - Automation Insights: workflow usage powered by the app
- - Academy: relevant learning content for the integration
- - Settings tab: Available for apps that support it, surfacing configuration options in one place.
[NEW] App Owner Management
Every connected app now has a designated app owner — a specific person responsible for the integration.
- - The app owner is automatically set to the person who connected the app.
- - The owner appears in the App info panel alongside install date, app type, and category.
- - Super Admins or users with App Marketplace access can reassign the owner using the Manage link in the App info panel.
- - Every ownership assignment and reassignment is recorded in the Activities log, alongside installs, uninstalls, and permission changes.
[NEW] Deactivation Awareness
When a HubSpot user is deactivated, the deactivation flow shows a warning if that user is the app owner, original installer, or authenticated user for any connected app. Admins can reassign ownership before completing the deactivation, so connected apps are not left without an app owner.
