What is it?
We have made a number of improvements to domain settings management. Below is a short list of some of those changes:
- Auto-associate new content types to existing domain: When you gain access to a new content type, HubSpot will automatically assign it to an existing primary domain. For example, if your primary domain for website pages is abc.com and you add Service Hub Professional, then abc.com will automatically become the primary domain for your Customer Portal and Knowledge Base.
- Collapsable notifications: The persistent "Setup for [domain] is ready to be continued" notifications are now collapsed by default when more than 3 notifications are in your settings page.
- Improved business unit behavior: When a user connects a domain to their business unit from that business unit's domains settings screen, the connected domain will automatically be associated to said business unit.
- Persistent reverse proxy validation tool: The reverse proxy validation tool was previously only usable when you opted to not connect with HubSpot's built-in content delivery network (CDN). This would mark the domain's status as reverse proxy. However, reverse proxies can be configured with domains set as ready for publishing or even not connected. We've made this setting available to domains of all status, sans connected.
- Persistent SSL validation tool: The SSL validation tool was previously only usable when a domain was connected to HubSpot. Now, it is available to domains of all statuses (e.g., not connected, ready for publishing, etc.)
- System domains always appear in UI: Previously, you needed to enable a toggle to see your system domains. Now, they will always appear in the settings.
- Reduced notification noise: Previously, users received notifications when they downgraded that their system domain would be disconnected. Unfortunately, these were not actionable notifications and frequently triggered by trials lapsing. We've removed these notifications.
