Dynamic Country Code Selection For Phone Number Validation Workflows

Written by Catalin Vlad | Sep 23, 2025 1:32:21 PM

What is it?

You can now use a country or 2-letter country code property to dynamically format phone numbers as part of the Validate and Format Phone Number workflow action.

Why does it matter?

This update is especially helpful for global teams. It ensures phone numbers are validated using the correct country context for each record. Previously, you had to select one default country code for all records, which made it difficult to manage international numbers. Now, your teams can work faster and maintain better data quality.

How does it work?

You can use any property (including default or custom properties) in your portal, as long as it contains either a country name or 2-letter country code.

  • Go to Automation > Workflows.
  • Click Create workflow (or update an existing one).
  • When configuring the validate and format phone number workflow action, choose between three options under Default Country Code Mode:
    • Use single default country
    • Use country or 2-letter country code property
      • Select any property that contains country name or 2-letter country code.
    • Don't use default country code
  • After setting up the action, use the Edit record action to update the property for the enrolled record or any other associated records based on the action's generated output.
