What is it?
Customers can now associate invoices and projects in both directions. From an invoice, they can link one or more projects, and from a project, they can link one or more invoices.
Why does it matter?
Previously, teams had to connect project work and invoicing manually. That made it harder to understand what had been billed, slowed handoffs, and limited reporting.
With invoice to project associations, teams can track billings at the project level, understand which invoices map to which work, and report on invoiced and non-invoiced work with more confidence.
How does it work?

Associate projects from an invoice
- - Open an invoice record
- - In the Projects association section, search for and select one or more projects
- - Save the changes
- - The invoice will display its associated project records, and those projects will automatically show the invoice in their associated records
Associate invoices from a project
- - Open a project record
- - In the Invoices association section, search for and select one or more existing invoices
- - Save the changes
- - The association is bi-directional, so linking from the project also links from the invoice
Permissions and record behavior
- - Users must have access to both the invoice and the project to create or view an association
- - Deleting an invoice or project removes the association, but does not delete the linked record itself
