Microsoft Teams Integration Updates: Smarter Notifications, Better Call Logging, and Easier Setup

What is it?

The Microsoft Teams integration for HubSpot now includes updates that expand what you can do with workflow notifications, call logging, and app management.

Why does it matter?

Until now, automating notifications, logging calls, and managing your app setup with the Microsoft Teams integration has been limited. With these updates, you can now:

• - Target workflow notifications to individual Microsoft Teams users, not just channels, for more precise and actionable communication.
• - Trigger workflow notifications across any HubSpot object type, not just contacts or deals, for more flexibility across your entire CRM.
• - Log multi-participant Microsoft Teams calls in HubSpot, not just a single contact, for more accurate call records that reflect the full conversation.
• - Upgrade from a user-level to an admin-level installation directly from your integration settings — no need to disconnect or reinstall.

How does it work?

Workflow notifications to individual users: In HubSpot Workflows, you can now select a specific Microsoft Teams user as the notification recipient when building a "Send Teams notification" action. This works across any supported HubSpot object type, so you're not limited to contacts or deals.

Multi-participant call logging: When a Microsoft Teams phone call includes multiple participants, HubSpot will now log the call and associate it with all relevant participants. Previously, only single-participant calls were supported.

User-level to admin-level upgrade: If your account is currently connected via the user-level Teams app, you can now upgrade to the admin-level installation directly from the integration settings — no need to disconnect or reinstall.
