What is it?
One of the biggest challenges teams face is figuring out how to build and test new business processes without disrupting end users in production. Making changes directly in production can introduce errors, create rework, and cause data issues.
With the new standard sandboxes you get:
- - A safe environment that mimics the features and supported assets of your live account so you can build and validate new processes risk-free.
- - And now, a Deploy to Production feature, to seamlessly deploy supported assets to your live portal without the need to manually recreate changes.
Standard Sandboxes can be used to safely define your CRM data model and orchestrate business processes using automations, such as:
- - Defining your data flow across your tech stack
- - Testing automations using workflows that rely on forms, lists, automated marketing emails, and CRM object configurations to nurture leads or support your teams
How does it work?
During the launch of the new standard sandbox your sandbox limit will be temporarily increased so you can create and configure the new standard sandbox while still accessing your legacy sandbox.
Important note:
Your current standard sandbox will be labeled as "Legacy standard sandbox" in the user interface. Please note that work performed in your legacy standard sandbox cannot be deployed to production or to the new standard sandbox, as it lacks the necessary technology to support reliable testing and deployments.
The legacy sandbox will be sunset on March 16, 2026, review the yellow banner on the Sandbox Listing page of your production account for more information on how to prepare for this.
New Standard Sandbox creation
When you create a new sandbox, the following supported assets are copied from production to sandbox by default i.e.:
- - Objects' properties, property groups, property conditional logics, associations, and pipelines will be copied, but not object records.
- - Lists with filters on properties, memberships, and most marketing interactions.
- - Forms
- - Automated marketing emails
- - Workflow triggers and actions are copied, but not the records enrolled in them.
Users can opt to do:
- - A one-time copy of 5K recently updated records (incl. 100 associated deals, 100 associated tickets, 100 associated companies if applicable) during the sandbox creation.
- - After the sandbox creation, users can manually import up to 200K records to sandbox as needed.
Deploy to Production feature
Users will be able to deploy the following supported assets created in their new standard sandbox back to production (Note: Sandbox edits to supported assets that exist in production won’t be listed as eligible since we don't support edits currently):

Deploy wizard
