What is it?
Developers and partners can now programmatically create, retrieve, update, and manage HubSpot payment links via a public API.
Why does it matter?
Manual creation of payment links limits merchants with large or complex product catalogs, prevents dynamic shopping-cart experiences, and forces businesses to use external platforms, fragmenting their workflows and data. Providing a public API removes these bottlenecks, enabling scalable, automated commerce and integration with third-party tools.
How does it work?
API Documentation
- Developers authenticate using standard HubSpot API credentials and required scopes.
- To create a payment link, send a POST request to the Payment Links endpoint with required parameters (line items, quantities, discount codes, customer information, etc.).
- The API supports dynamic configuration: define items, add-ons, buyer email, billing/shipping address, and custom fields in the request.
- Use additional endpoints to deactivate or manage existing payment links as needed.
- Partners and app developers can embed link generation in their own tools using HubSpot’s technical documentation.
