Easily activate contact segments across ad networks like LinkedIn, Google, and Facebook right from your segment, unlocking segment creation and activation in one, unified experience.
Segments are used throughout HubSpot to help you quickly communicate with your most important segments and create personalized experiences for them. Before this release, creating a LinkedIn, Google, or Facebook ad audience from one of your segments was a disjointed experience - having to navigate back and forth between Segments, Ads, and the ad networks.
This new experience removes the friction by:
1. Navigate to CRM → Segments (Lists) → open a Contact Segment
2. Go to the Analyze tab, select Available Channels, and view the ad networks
Alternatively, you can find quick activation suggestions at the bottom of an existing segment
3. If you have not yet integrated, you’ll need to integrate the ad network and ad account
4. If integrated with at least one ad network, select Manage syncing → Sync to ads → Choose the ad account you want to sync to
5. After syncing, your audience will be usable both in HubSpot and in the ad network to begin creating an ad campaign.
6. If you sync a segment to LinkedIn, you will be able to view LinkedIn Audience Insights.
ℹ️ Minimum contact match thresholds for ad activation:
Segments that don’t meet these thresholds can still be synced—but they won’t be usable for ad targeting until they do.
