What is it?

Task dependencies allow you to set that a task is blocking or blocked by another task. When a task is blocked by another task, the task won't start until the other task is complete.

Why does it matter?

When working on a project, your team often has a sequential process for completing the work. Task dependencies enable you to represent the way that your work should be done in HubSpot, and ensure your business processes are followed.

How does it work?

When creating or editing a task within a Project, you can select if another task is blocking or blocked by the other task. This is available when viewing the Gantt view or when creating tasks within the Project record. You will only be able to configure dependencies for a task with other tasks that are part of the same Project.
