Upgrade your Chatflows custom code snippets from Node 18.x or 20.x to Node 24.x

What is it?

Node 18.x and 20.x runtimes will be deprecated August 31, 2026 for Chatflows custom code snippets.

Why does it matter?

Node 18.x and 20.x are reaching end of life and no longer receive security patches. Running custom chatflow logic on unsupported runtimes introduces security risk. Node 24.x is the current long-term support release and keeps your snippets on a secure, maintained foundation.

How does it work?

To migrate, open your existing snippet, copy your code, create a new code snippet in the same chatflow, select Node 24.x as the runtime, and paste your code in. Test your code after migrating as some Node 18.x and 20.x syntax may not be compatible with Node 24.x.
