What is it?

Introducing four new updates to the NetSuite app for HubSpot that make the integration more reliable, easier to manage, and faster to implement.

  1. A new "NetSuite Subsidiary" property now appears on company, contact, deal, invoice, order, product, and ticket records. This makes it easier to spot and fix subsidiary mismatches.
  2. If a sales order sync fails, you'll now see specific error messages with actionable guidance to resolve the issue on your own.
  3. You can now map unit cost for line items between HubSpot and NetSuite. Select unit costs during manual sales order creation or sync HubSpot unit cost values automatically through workflows.
  4. A new guided onboarding experience walks you through every setup step, from configuring data sync to enabling sales order workflows, so your integration is ready to go from day one.

Why does it matter?

Fewer sync failures, less manual work, and a faster, more reliable integration. Maintain accurate and reliable records between HubSpot and NetSuite. These updates strengthen data integrity and streamlines operations across both platforms.

How does it work?

New NetSuite Subsidiary property

The NetSuite Subsidiary property is automatically created when you install the NetSuite app for HubSpot. Once created, subsidiary data syncs to this property on your CRM records.

If you already have an existing NetSuite integration, this property will be created automatically in your account.

Improved error messages

To view error messages:

  1. Navigate to the workflow you created for your NetSuite integration sales orders.
  2. Go to the workflow actions section to see if any errors have occurred.

Previously, error messages were vague and didn't provide clear guidance. Now, error messages include specific details about what went wrong and steps to resolve the issue.

Unit cost mapping

There are two ways to map unit cost for line items between HubSpot and NetSuite, manually or automatically.

Manual workflow:

  1. Change or select unit cost for already associated line items.
  2. Add new line items from NetSuite and either use the NetSuite value or set a custom unit cost.

Automated workflow:

  1. The unit cost value set for associated line items in HubSpot will automatically sync to NetSuite.

New guided onboarding experience

Once you've installed the NetSuite integration in your HubSpot account, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps > select NetSuite.

You'll see a new task list for your NetSuite integration setup. Click on any task to open a side panel with step-by-step instructions for that feature. A progress tracker shows you how your setup is progressing. As you complete each step, click Complete to move forward.

Who gets it?

This feature is available to all HubSpot accounts with the NetSuite integration installed.
