What is it?
A centralized space for sales leaders to track team progress and identify opportunities to drive better results. It brings together the scattered tools they use to understand if their reps are on track to meet their goals, with proactive insights and summaries to help them spot patterns in their team’s activity.
Why does it matter?
Sales leaders and managers spend hours every week jumping between spreadsheets, dashboards, and multiple systems to understand how their team is performing. With data scattered across different tools, it’s easy to miss important trends that may impact the bottom line.
Sales Performance brings everything together in a single, powerful interface - making it easy to stay on top of sales team results and explore key metrics and trends in depth. With one place to go for visibility into their team’s performance, sales leaders and managers can spend less time digging for data and more time helping their teams succeed.
How does it work?
Navigate to Sales > Sales Performance to get started.
Team Setup
First-time users will see a prompt to set up their team unless admins have already done it for them. This step is required in order to access Sales Performance, but can be updated later.
For Sales Performance users to see sales reps in the tool, reps must be assigned to them as direct reports. Admins can assign direct reports via Settings > Users & Teams > [User] > Permissions > Management Hierarchy. Alternatively, they can grant sales managers permission to Add and Edit Users so that they can self-assign direct reports.
Summary
The Summary tab provides a high-level overview of top metrics along with up-to-date insights about changes in the team’s overall performance.
- A configurable metrics summary report puts KPIs front and center every time users visit the tab. Metrics can be customized and saved on a per-user basis.
- The team leaderboard provides a quick, focused ranking of team members across core metrics and time periods, with details about who is pacing ahead and who is falling behind.
- The performance intelligence feed provides an overview of key risks, wins and trends across common sales metrics. Each insight includes drill-in details into the underlying data to help users decide on next steps.
My Team
The My Team tab provides a comprehensive, configurable overview of team and rep performance across different metrics and goals. Each metric includes drill-ins for deeper data inspection.
Dashboard
Similar to the Sales Workspace, users can add their own dashboards for easy access.
Access Requirements
Admins need to ensure users who should have access to Sales Performance:
- Have a Sales Professional or Sales Enterprise seat assigned
- Have the Sales Performance setting toggled ON. This setting can be found under Settings > Users & Teams > [User] > Access > Permissions > Sales.
Insights Configuration
Admins can configure which insights users see and adjust metrics to better fit their sales cycle.
Who gets it?
This feature is available for HubSpot Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise users with a Sales Seat.
