Convert Views to List

Written by Catalin Vlad | Aug 11, 2025 8:01:46 AM

What is it?

Easily turn your saved views into HubSpot lists with just one click. This new feature allows you to apply filters from any saved view directly to a new list, making it faster to segment contacts and take action without rebuilding your criteria from scratch.

Why does it matter?

Users often spend time fine-tuning filters in views to narrow down specific audiences, only to then manually recreate those same filters in lists or workflows. This duplication is frustrating, tedious, and inefficient.
By enabling the direct conversion of views into lists, we’re removing unnecessary friction and making it easier to act on a defined segment, whether it’s sending emails, enrolling contacts in workflows, or adding them to campaigns. This feature enhances interoperability across HubSpot tools and enables users to act more quickly on insights.

How does it work?

To create a list from a view:

  1. Navigate to an existing view or create a new one using Advanced or Quick Filters.
  2. Click the ‘All views’ button in the top-right corner to open the View Management page.

3. In the table, hover over the view you want to use. Click the ‘More’ dropdown button, then select ‘Create List’.

4. You’ll be taken to the List Filter editor, where the filters from your view will be automatically applied.

From there, you can adjust the filters if needed, choose between an Active or Static list, and save.

Note: If your view includes one or more filters that aren’t supported in lists, you’ll see a warning message. In this case, the list will not retain those unsupported filters. This may occur with:

Date filters:

This fiscal quarter
This fiscal quarter so far
Last fiscal quarter
Next fiscal quarter
This fiscal year
This fiscal year so far
Last fiscal year
Next fiscal year

String & phone number filters:
Contains exactly
Doesn’t contain exactly

Membership filters:
List membership filters involving more than one list
