IP-derived Visitor Country Segmentation in Buyer Intent

What is it?

Ready to know where your visitors are visiting from?

You can now filter and segment companies based on the country their website visits originate from. This means you're no longer limited to a company's headquarters, but rather the actual IP-based location of the visitors showing interest in your business.

Why does it matter?

Starting today, you can now do the following:

  • Execute territory-based targeting: If your sales teams have geo-based territories, you can now filter for visits originating from specific countries and then add, route, and assign accordingly.
  • Target multinationals more effectively: If you target multinational companies, but you only service certain countries, you can now isolate companies that have visits from countries you target.
  • Conduct more relevant prospecting: When identifying companies to prospect, the country-level visit data helps you narrow down your search for contacts to reach out to, making your prospecting more efficient and targeted.

How does it work?

  • Filter: In the Visitors tab, use the new "Visitor country" filter to show companies with visits from selected countries.
  • View visit origins: Within the company information drawers found in the Visitors tab, the "Recent pages" sections now include a "Visitor country" column, showing the origin country for each page view.
  • Set intent criteria: Incorporate "Visitor country" as an inclusion or exclusion in your Visitor Intent Criteria within the "Configuration" tab to define intent based on geographical visit data.
