What is it?

You can now attach an email template to a manual email task in workflows, the same way you already can in sequences. When you're assigned the task, the template loads automatically so you can personalize it before sending.

Why does it matter?

Sequences have always given you a pre-loaded template when you're assigned a manual email task — a starting point you can personalize before sending. Workflows haven't offered that same option.

That gap pushes some teams to route email tasks through sequences that don't belong there, just to get a templated starting point. But sequences cap you at one per contact at a time. Going over that limit creates operational issues and puts email deliverability at risk for everyone on the account.

Email template support now works for manual email tasks created in workflows, and across every place you create tasks, so the experience is consistent no matter where the task comes from.

How does it work?

1. Go to Message templates and create a template if you don't already have one.
2. Go to Workflows and create a workflow from scratch. Set it to trigger manually, then choose which objects can enroll — companies, in this example.
3. Scroll to the CRM section and select the Create task action.
4. In the Type dropdown, select Email. An Email template picker appears — select your template, fill out the rest of the task, and save.
5. Turn on the workflow, then enroll a company.
6. Open the task from the customer success workspace or the tasks index. On the task detail page, the email modal appears with your template preloaded.

Who gets it?

This feature is available for HubSpot Service Hub Professional and HubSpot Service Hub Enterprise accounts.
