What is it?
Today the Synapse connector only connects Synapse to Data Studio. This launch adds:
- - Direct Ingest: sync a Synapse table or view straight to HubSpot CRM records on a recurring schedule. Connection to Data Studio as a source stays available to use in datasets
- - Data Out: export HubSpot objects (standard and custom), associations and events to a dedicated SQL pool.
Why does it matter?
Existing Synapse customers can only use the connection as a source in Data Studio. Direct Ingest removes the forced builder step and provides a credit-less ingestion sync mechanism, the core warehouse-customer need, and Data Out gives them the reverse path for the first time.
How does it work?
Open your Azure Synapse connection in Connected Apps > Azure Synapse, or install the Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics app from the HubSpot Marketplace. Your existing connection keeps working and gains two new options.
Direct Ingest (Synapse into HubSpot)
1. Choose a table or view and preview the rows.
2. Map the columns to HubSpot properties.
3. Set a recurring schedule. HubSpot syncs the data to CRM records with no Data Studio step.
Prefer to join or transform the data first? Connect the same source to Data Studio instead and use in dataset.
Data Out (HubSpot into Synapse)
1. Connect a Synapse dedicated SQL pool (serverless is not supported) with a Microsoft Entra service principal. HubSpot runs a quick write test during setup, so permission problems show up before the first sync.
2. Choose the objects, associations and events to export, and set a sync frequency.
3. HubSpot writes a full snapshot to a staging table, then swaps it into your hubspot_data_out_<id> schema in one step. If a sync fails, your previous tables stay in place.
