Target Object Name in Security Activity Export

What is it?

The security activity report now includes object names alongside object IDs when exported to CSV, making it easier to identify which assets were affected by security activities.

Why does it matter?

When you export security activity for audit and compliance purposes, you need to quickly understand which specific assets were involved in each security event. Previously, the export only showed object IDs, requiring you to manually look up each ID to identify whether it was a high-value contact, critical deal, or sensitive company record. This creates unnecessary work when investigating security incidents or preparing compliance reports, especially since security activity tracking covers high-risk actions like data exports, permanent deletions, user permission changes, and integration installations.

How does it work?

When you export the security activity report to CSV, you'll now see a new column containing object names alongside the existing object ID column. If you only use the report for record-keeping purposes, no setup or configuration is required.

Note: If you import the exported report into an external system (such as a SIEM), ensure your system is updated to handle the new column structure before enabling this beta feature.
