Undo Recent Cleanup in the Account Cleanup Tool

What is it?

You can now undo the most recent cleanup in the account cleanup tool, restoring deleted or archived assets and reviewing exactly what was cleaned up.

Why does it matter?

When an automated cleanup run removes assets unintentionally — whether from a misconfigured policy or an oversight — manually restoring each one can be time-consuming and disruptive. With undo, you can quickly reverse a recent cleanup in bulk, helping you feel more confident enabling cleanup automations.

How does it work?

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Settings > Data Management > Account Cleanup.
  2. For eligible asset types, click Review recent cleanup at the top right of the page.
  3. In the modal, review recent cleanup jobs grouped by asset type. Expand each row to view the specific assets that were cleaned up.
  4. Confirm the revert action to restore assets. After reverting, you'll be prompted to disable the reverted automation type if desired.

Technical details
  • Confirmation is required before undoing, with clear communication about affected assets.
  • If assets have been permanently deleted (e.g., after 90 days), the revert option is not available.
