What is it?
You can now share videos via a private link that anyone can view without a HubSpot login, without making the video publicly discoverable.
Why does it matter?
When you send a video to a prospect or customer, it should be as simple as sending a link: click to watch, no friction, no HubSpot login required. At the same time, you might not want that video showing up in public search results or accessible to anyone who stumbles across the URL.
Until now, HubSpot video didn't have a setting that did both. You were either fully public or locked down to HubSpot-only access. The new Anyone with the link visibility setting fills that gap: your recipient gets a seamless viewing experience with no login prompt, and your video stays off public indexes.
How does it work?
When uploading or editing a video, you'll see four visibility options.
- - Public: viewable by anyone and may appear in search results. Best for marketing and website content.
- - Public no index: viewable by anyone with the URL, but not listed in search engines or sitemaps. The URL itself is not protected.
- - Anyone with the link (new): anyone with the unique URL can view with no login required. Not indexed or discoverable without the link, and the URL is protected by an unguessable token. Best for 1:1 emails and direct customer sharing.
- - Private: restricts viewing to logged-in HubSpot users. Best for internal content.
