What is it?
Automatically creating object syncs in the Stripe Data Sync App and unlocking a couple more field mappings.
Why does it matter?
Many Stripe data points do not find their way into HubSpot.... because they are simply not field mapped! This is especially true if you do not have access to Data Hub Starter. We are automating this now, and a fair bit!
How does it work?
When you install the Stripe app you now no longer need to setup the supported (out of the box) data objects —contacts, products, invoices — themselves, one by one. If you already have the app installed you will notice other connections are now also created.
These syncs still need to be turned on explicitly. No data will start syncing automatically without you explicitly confirming!
At the same time we are including more default field mappings - as now designated CRM properties in HubSpot automatically get populated with Stripe data. We will include the following fields as part of default field mapping:
- Contacts:
-
- - Pricing interval of last active subscription (yearly, monthly, ...)
-
- - Delinquent: single checkbox - indicates whether a customer’s latest invoice is past due
- - Discount coupon ID: if this is empty, there is no discount
- - Stripe Customer ID
- - Created date in Stripe: to help calculate in HubSpot since when you know a certain customer (because the normal create date in HubSpot is the date of when you flicked on the sync!)
- Invoices:
- - Period.start & period.end
- - The URL for the Stripe-hosted invoice (If the invoice has not been finalized yet, this will be empty)
- Products:
- - Record ID
- - Product is active: single checkbox
Please note that there are two other available objects that can be mapped in Stripe (subscriptions, payments) but these require a custom object to be mapped to. We do not automatically create these syncs - and they can be created by clicking "Sync more data" if you have custom objects in your HubSpot plan.
