Custom Report Builder Quick Access to Report Settings

What is it?

You can now edit settings for reports built using the custom report builder, giving you the same flexibility as reports built with the single object report builder.

Why does it matter?

This empowers you to quickly customize existing reports without starting from scratch. If you see a report that's close to what you need but requires adjustments, you can now modify chart types, properties, and dimensions directly rather than rebuilding the entire report in the custom builder.

How does it work?

Navigate to any report on a dashboard and hover over the top right corner of the report.

Click the settings icon to open the report editing interface with a new Settings tab that provides access to the same report configuration options available for single object reports.

Settings sections:

DEFINE

• Control Datawell display at the top
• Add more properties to analyze data across different columns
• Change chart types
• Select different numeric properties to display

GROUP

• Change categorical dimensions for data grouping
• Break down data by additional dimensions when applicable

RESET SETTINGS

• Revert to the original report settings before any changes were made

MORE

• Access advanced options under the Advanced tab to sort your data

Known limitations for this private beta:

• Chart type switching via settings is not yet supported for: Combination Charts, Datawells, Pivot Tables, and Gauge Charts
• The Compare section from single object report builder is not currently available
