What is it?

Data Sync now automatically suggests field mappings for custom fields when setting up or editing a sync. Instead of manually matching each custom field from your third-party app to a HubSpot property, the system uses semantic matching to propose the most likely mapping, including custom properties you've created in either system.

Why does it matter?

Setting up field mappings has been one of the most time-consuming parts of configuring a sync, especially when you have dozens of custom fields across both systems. Auto-mapping removes that manual work, so you can get your sync running faster. It also surfaces mapping suggestions you might not have thought of, helping you get more out of your sync from the start.

How does it work?

When configuring a new sync or editing field mappings on an existing one, click the "Generate mappings" button. Data Sync analyses the names and types of available fields on both sides and suggests matches. Review the suggestions, then accept all or unselect any mappings you don't need.
