Custom Link Text for URL Properties

What is it?

You can now set custom link text for each URL property value on individual records, allowing different labels per record.

Why does it matter?

The recently added URL properties replaced long URLs with short, meaningful labels so you can quickly identify and act on links while minimizing distractions. To make this feature even more flexible, we've made it possible for admins to allow users to modify link text on a record by record basis.

How does it work?

Admins creating or editing a URL property can check a box to "Allow users to modify link text."

When editing a record, you can enter or update the label for the URL property. This label overrides the default at the property level for that record.

Note:

  • - Removing an override reverts to the property-level default label. If no labels exist, the raw URL displays as a clickable link.
  • - Property history and data exports continue to show the underlying URL, not the display label.
