What is it?

You can now edit property values directly within your segments.

Why does it matter?

Prior to this release, editing the properties of segment members was painful.  You were probably taking workarounds like navigating to an individual record page, searching for the property you want to edit, and making the change.

Inline editing in a segment eliminates those painful workarounds, allowing you to:

• - Update contact information more efficiently
• - Manage segment members without leaving the segment view
• - Save time by avoiding navigation to separate pages for property edits

How does it work?

To edit properties:

1. Navigate to CRM --> Segments (Lists) and click into your desired segment.
2. Click on the property you want to edit, and make the update.

3. Property validation will happen in real time for cells that have rules set up. If you’ve entered data that fails validation, you'll be shown a contextual error. If you move on without correcting the error, the row with the error will also be highlighted to make finding and correcting that cell easier.

NOTES:

• - Inline editing in segments is available for: Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, and Custom objects.  Other object members  (e.g., Invoices, Payments, etc) are not eligible to edited at this time.
• - The left most column is not editable for any object.
• - Associations will also not be editable from the table.
• - Every other property will mirror edit capability on the record - ie. if you can edit on the record, you can edit on the table.

This feature is available for all HubSpot products and tiers.
