What is it?

For users with a passkey setup, if you login with another login method and are prompted for 2 Factor Authentication (2FA), we will now prompt you to verify with your passkey instead of your legacy 2FA methods. You are still able to use your legacy 2FA methods as a fallback.

Why does it matter?

Passkeys are the safest alternative to password based logins + 2FA. If you already have a passkey set up, we recommend switching over to using it at login instead of using a password.

How does it work?

When prompted for 2FA, and you have a passkey already set up, you will be first prompted to complete your login with a passkey. Your legacy 2FA methods will still be available as a fallback.
