Note
What is it?
When you create a new sandbox, playbooks from your production portal are automatically copied over, including their content and recommendation settings.
Why does it matter?
You can now test and confirm playbook configurations in a sandbox before using them in production. This helps you catch issues early and ensures your sandbox environment accurately reflects your production setup, reducing the risk of surprises during live customer interactions.
How does it work?
When you create a sandbox, HubSpot automatically copies playbooks from your production portal along with their dependencies.
What gets copied:
- - Playbook content
- - Playbook settings
- - Playbook recommendation settings
What doesn't get copied:
- - Reporting and analytics data (this remains visible only in your production portal)
- - Link to marketing campaign
- - Link to other sales contents (Documents, Snippets, etc)
Note: This sync is production-to-sandbox only. Deploy-to-production is not yet supported. If a playbook references an unsupported asset, you can manually add the missing dependency once the playbook is copied to the sandbox.
Who gets it?
Sandboxes are available for HubSpot Commerce Hub Enterprise, Content Hub Enterprise, Marketing Hub Enterprise, Data Hub Enterprise, Sales Hub Enterprise, Service Hub Enterprise, and Smart CRM Enterprise.
Playbooks require HubSpot Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise, or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise, and a seat assignment. Sandboxes are available to users with an enterprise subscription.
