Sandboxes now copy email footers and subscription types

What is it?

When you create a sandbox, email footers and subscription types are now copied from your production account and can be deployed back to production.

Why does it matter?

Testing automated marketing emails end-to-end means seeing exactly what your contacts will receive — including the footer at the bottom of the email and whether the right subscription type is in place to deliver it.

Until now, both of these were missing from sandboxes, which meant:

You had to manually rebuild email footers in the sandbox, and again after deploying back to production
Subscription types weren't available, making it hard for you to properly test whether contacts with a given subscription would receive an email

These gaps slowed down your testing and added unnecessary manual rework every time you created a sandbox or made a deployment.

How does it work?

When you create a sandbox, HubSpot will:

Copy all email footer addresses from your production account settings into the sandbox
Copy all subscription types, including any language variants

If you create new footers or subscription types in your sandbox and want to deploy them alongside your automated marketing emails, those will be included when you deploy to production.

Note: visibility rules on subscription types are not copied in this release.

Who gets it?

Sandboxes are available to customers with any of these subscriptions: HubSpot Commerce Hub Enterprise, Content Hub Enterprise, Marketing Hub Enterprise, Data Hub Enterprise, Sales Hub Enterprise, Service Hub Enterprise, and Smart CRM Enterprise.
