What is it?

You can now migrate eligible Stripe subscriptions into HubSpot yourself if you have a connected Stripe payments account, giving you more control over which subscriptions you migrate and when. Once a subscription is migrated to HubSpot, the Stripe subscription is paused.

NOTE: Reactivating Stripe subscriptions may result in double billing if the subscription has not been paused in HubSpot.

Why does it matter?

Centralizing your subscriptions in HubSpot means your sales, marketing, and finance teams have a single, unified view of customer revenue.

By enabling a self-service migration path, we’re removing friction and making it faster for you to leverage the full power of HubSpot’s CRM, reporting, and automation tools for your existing subscriber base.

How does it work?

1. Access the Migration Tool: Navigate to Settings > Payments > Payments Accounts.
2. Review Subscriptions: Look for the banner labeled "Ready to move your Stripe subscriptions to HubSpot?" and click Review subscriptions.
3. Check Eligibility: You will be taken to a panel that categorizes your Stripe subscriptions based on eligibility:
• Eligible: Subscriptions that do not have discounts or taxes applied can be migrated immediately.
• Ineligible: Currently, subscriptions with taxes or discounts are not eligible for self-service migration. Review other criteria that may make a subscription ineligible for migration here.
4. Start Migration: Click Start migration setup. You can migrate up to 1,000 eligible subscriptions at once. If you need to migrate more than 1,000 subscriptions, please fill out this form.
5. Completion: The migration process typically takes up to 20 minutes. Once finished, you will see your migrated subscriptions listed under the Subscriptions tab in HubSpot.
6. Automatic Protection: To prevent double-billing, HubSpot automatically pauses the original subscriptions in your Stripe account once the migration is successful.
